What happens when you sign a note
Signing is the moment a working draft becomes part of the legal record. It attests exactly what you documented, stamps who signed and when, and closes the note to further edits.
1 · Draft
Your note autosaves as you write and stays fully editable. Nothing is final until you choose to sign.
2 · Sign
Confirm your name and credentials. Your signature is captured and the note's content is hashed so any later tampering is detectable.
3 · Locked
Once signed and locked, the draft and any appointment transcript are cleared and the note becomes uneditable. Need a change? Add an addendum — the original stays intact.
