Website Hosting Terms
Supplemental terms governing practice websites built and hosted with Front Desk.
Last updated: September 10, 2026
These Website Hosting Terms ("Website Terms") supplement the Front Desk Terms of Service ("Terms of Service") and collectively govern your use of the Front Desk website builder and hosting service, including templates, generated page content, image storage, the Front Desk subdomain assigned to your site, custom domain connection, and the hosting of your published site (collectively, the "Website Service"). These Website Terms and the Terms of Service are collectively referred to as the "Terms." Capitalized terms used but not defined here have the meanings set forth in the Terms of Service. By publishing a website through the Website Service, you agree to these Terms.
YOUR PUBLISHED WEBSITE IS PUBLIC. DO NOT PLACE PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION, PATIENT OR CLIENT NAMES, OR OTHER CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION ON IT. THE WEBSITE SERVICE IS NOT COVERED BY THE BUSINESS ASSOCIATE AGREEMENT; VISITOR DATA COLLECTED THROUGH BOOKING, INTAKE AND PORTAL LINKS IS HANDLED INSIDE THE FRONT DESK PLATFORM, WHICH IS.
1. The Website Service
The Website Service generates a public website for your practice from information in your Front Desk account (such as your practice name, locations, hours, services, providers, and booking links), a template you select, and content you enter or generate. Front Desk hosts the published website at a Front Desk subdomain (for example, yourpractice.sites.frontdesk.care) and, if you choose, at a domain name you control. The Website Service is separate from the Front Desk platform that you and your staff sign in to; it is the public face of your practice and is intended for visitors who are not yet your patients or clients. Features, templates, and limits of the Website Service may depend on your subscription plan.
2. Your Content and Images
2.1 Ownership and License
You retain ownership of all text, images, logos, trademarks, and other materials you upload to or publish through the Website Service ("Site Content"). To operate the Website Service, you grant Front Desk a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, cache, reproduce, resize, display, and transmit your Site Content solely as necessary to build, preview, and serve your website and to provide related support. This license ends when your Site Content is removed from the Website Service, except for copies retained in routine backups and caches for a limited period.
2.2 Your Responsibility for Site Content
You are solely responsible for your Site Content and for its accuracy, legality, and compliance with applicable law and professional rules. Without limiting the foregoing, you represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to use every image, photograph, logo, and other material you upload, including model releases for identifiable people, written permission from staff whose names, photographs, or biographies appear, and rights to any stock imagery;
- Any testimonials, reviews, before-and-after images, or outcome claims comply with applicable advertising, consumer protection, and professional licensing rules, including rules that govern healthcare advertising in your jurisdiction, and any patient or client information they contain is used only with a valid, HIPAA- compliant authorization;
- Your Site Content does not infringe or misappropriate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights, and is not defamatory, deceptive, obscene, or otherwise unlawful;
- Your Site Content includes any disclosures required of your profession (such as license numbers, supervising physician information, or disclaimers) and does not make claims you cannot substantiate.
2.3 No Protected Health Information
Your published website is publicly accessible. You agree not to include protected health information, patient or client names or identifiers, clinical records, or any other confidential information in your Site Content, and not to use the Website Service to collect such information outside the Front Desk platform. Visitor interactions that route into the Front Desk platform (for example, online booking, assessment requests, digital intake, and client portal links) are governed by the Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and, where applicable, the Business Associate Agreement.
2.4 Uploaded Images
Images you upload are stored in Front Desk's public content storage, organized by practice and page, and are served directly to website visitors. Anyone with the image's address can view it; do not upload images you would not display on your website. Front Desk may automatically resize, re-encode, straighten, and remove embedded metadata (such as camera location data) from uploaded images, and may limit file types and sizes. Removing an image from your site or deleting it in the editor removes it from storage, subject to caches and backups.
3. Domains and DNS
3.1 Front Desk Subdomain
Front Desk assigns your website an address under a Front Desk domain (for example, yourpractice.sites.frontdesk.care). That address is provided as part of the Website Service and remains the property of Front Desk. You acquire no rights in it, Front Desk may change or reclaim it (with notice where practicable, for example to resolve a conflict or address abuse), and it stops resolving when your website is taken offline or your subscription ends.
3.2 Your Own Domain
You may connect a domain name that you own or control. Front Desk does not register, sell, renew, or transfer domain names; your relationship with your registrar, including registration fees, renewals, ownership disputes, and contact information, is solely between you and the registrar. You are responsible for configuring the DNS records the Website Service displays, for keeping your domain registration current, and for connecting only domains you are authorized to use. By connecting a domain, you authorize Front Desk to obtain, renew, and install TLS/SSL certificates for that domain from a publicly trusted certificate authority on your behalf so that your website is served securely.
3.3 Changes and Disconnection
You may change or disconnect your domain at any time from your Front Desk settings. Front Desk may stop serving your website at a domain that no longer points to the Website Service, that is subject to a dispute, or that is used in violation of the Terms. Front Desk is not responsible for downtime, lost traffic, or search-ranking changes that result from DNS or registrar changes, propagation delays, expired registrations, or misconfiguration on your side.
4. Generated Content, Legal Pages, Accessibility, and Search
4.1 Generated Content
The Website Service can draft page copy from your account information, including with artificial intelligence. Generated content is a starting point. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving every page before you publish it, and for anything published under your practice's name. Front Desk does not warrant that generated content is accurate, complete, or suitable for your practice.
4.2 Template Legal Pages
The Website Service generates template privacy, terms, and accessibility pages for your website. These templates are general in nature, are provided for convenience only, and are not legal advice. They may not reflect the laws that apply to your practice or the actual data practices of your website. You are responsible for reviewing them with your own counsel and for maintaining a privacy policy that accurately describes your website.
4.3 Accessibility
Front Desk designs its website templates to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA for the elements Front Desk controls, such as layout, color contrast, keyboard navigation, and structure. Accessibility of your published website also depends on the Site Content you supply, including image descriptions, readable text, and any embedded material. Front Desk does not warrant that your website, as published by you, meets any particular accessibility standard or legal requirement.
4.4 Search Engines
The Website Service includes search-engine features such as page titles, structured data, and sitemaps. Search engine ranking depends on many factors outside Front Desk's control. Front Desk makes no guarantee regarding indexing, ranking, traffic, leads, or bookings.
5. Acceptable Use and Takedown
Your use of the Website Service is subject to the Front Desk Acceptable Use Policy. In addition, you agree not to use the Website Service to publish content that is unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harmful; to distribute malware or phishing content; to impersonate another practice or person; or to host a website for a business other than the practice on your Front Desk account. Front Desk may remove Site Content, take a website offline, or disconnect a domain if it reasonably believes the website violates the Terms or applicable law, exposes visitors or Front Desk to harm, or is the subject of a valid legal complaint, with notice to you where practicable. Copyright complaints may be sent to help@frontdesk.care.
6. Availability, Caching, and Changes to the Service
When you publish, Front Desk stores a copy of your website and serves that copy to visitors from its hosting infrastructure and caches. Changes you publish generally appear within minutes, and a previously published copy may continue to be served for a short period after you publish or take a site offline. Front Desk uses commercially reasonable efforts to keep published websites available, including serving them independently of the Front Desk platform, but does not warrant uninterrupted availability; the service level, maintenance, and support terms of the Terms of Service apply. Front Desk may update templates, section types, and features over time, and may retire a template with reasonable notice, in which case your website will be moved to a comparable template.
7. Term, Termination, and Export
The Website Service is available while your subscription includes it and your account is in good standing. You may take your website offline at any time. If your subscription ends, is suspended, or no longer includes the Website Service, Front Desk may stop serving your website and release your Front Desk subdomain after a reasonable grace period. Your domain name and your Site Content remain yours; on request within thirty (30) days after termination, Front Desk will provide an export of your Site Content in a reasonable electronic format. Front Desk has no obligation to retain Site Content after that period.
8. Disclaimer; Indemnification
THE WEBSITE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," AND THE DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY IN THE TERMS OF SERVICE APPLY TO IT IN FULL. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Front Desk and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your Site Content, your domain, your website's compliance with applicable law and professional rules, or your breach of these Website Terms.
9. Ratification
Front Desk may update these Website Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Website Service, including keeping a website published, after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Website Terms.
