Holiday closures stop your AI from booking appointments on days you're closed. Mark a date closed once and it's respected everywhere — phone, chat, and your public booking page.
Where to manage them
Settings → Locations → Holiday Closures
You'll see a list of upcoming dates with a Closed / Open switch on each. Common US holidays for the next year are suggested automatically, and a counter shows how many closed days are coming up.
Set your closures
- Open Settings → Locations and scroll to Holiday Closures.
- For each suggested holiday, flip the switch to Closed (or leave it Open if you work that day).
- To add a date that isn't listed, use the add closure row — enter a name and date, then Add.
- That's it. Changes save the moment you make them.
The most common closed holidays — New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day — are pre-selected for you the first time you open the page. Adjust any you don't observe.
Multiple locations
If you have more than one location, each closure row has a scope dropdown:
- All locations — closed everywhere on that date.
- A specific location — closed only there.
This lets each office keep its own holiday schedule from one screen.
How it works on calls
On a closed date, the AI simply has no availability to offer. If a caller asks to book that day, it explains you're closed and offers the next open day instead — the same way it handles a day you're not normally open.
Tip: For a day where you're open but on reduced hours, don't mark it closed — instead edit that day's business hours for the location, or add the detail to Custom Knowledge so the AI can mention it.
